
My Story!
In late 2021, as the Covid-19 pandemic continued to wane, I began to explore various activities to occupy my time, as the gradual reopening of society suggested that a complete return to normalcy was still distant. I decided to jump onto the “baking craze” train. I was (and am) a minimal dessert lover and when I do decide to indulge, it’s usually a couple bite-size sweet treats.
My goal was to find delightful, bite-sized treats, which led me to cake pops. However, after sharing my samples with family and friends, I quickly realized that the traditional preparation method was unpopular because of the "mushy, thick, and heavy dense consistency" caused by crumbled cake mixed with frosting. Recognizing the need for improvement, I conducted further research and learned how to make cake pops with a cake-like consistency.
The result was like “eating a real piece of cake, but just on a lollipop stick”, based on feedback from family and friends. I continued to perfect my cake pop making skill and with the encouragement from family and friends, CAKE POPS BY TESSA was created.
Shortly after creating cake pops, I expanded my product offerings making specialty treats, such as candy coated pretzels, Oreo cookies, strawberries and much more. I am continuously looking for delightful new products to submerge in candy coatings!
Today, I enjoy creating uniquely designed cake pops and specialty treats for all occasions and I’m always up for new challenges by designing new works of art in my spare time.
